Residents of Vineland enjoy a unique setting that combines small-town convenience with easy accessibility to the large city attractions of Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington D.C., as well as, the recreational advantages of the New Jersey shore.Following is just some of what the city has to offer.

Recreation

Vineland features 18 parks and recreational areas which include picnic facilities, dozens of lighted fields and courts, hiking trails, walking paths, disc golf courses, and much more.  There are also youth leagues in all major sports, and a 28-acre soccer complex.

South Vineland Park offers excellent freshwater bass fishing, and the Willow Oak Natural Area features beautiful woodland and open field environments perfect for enjoying nature’s inhabitants.  You can also visit Parvin State Park, which includes two lakes, campgrounds, cabins, and miles of wooded trails.  If golf is your passion, try one of the many golf courses in the Vineland area offering a choice of skill levels to meet the abilities of all golfers including Eastlyn Golf Course, Latona Golf Course, White Oaks Country Club, and Ron Jaworski’s Running Deer Golf Club.

If you’re looking for a different kind of fun, enjoy a concert or play at the Guaracini Center or the historic Landis Theater.  History buffs can check out the Vineland Historical Society or the “Palace of Depression,” the strangest house in the world.  You can catch the latest first run movies at the Regal Stadium 14 movie theater complex, and Vineland is also home to the only drive-in theater in the state of New Jersey.

And don’t miss one of our special community events or exciting festivals scheduled throughout the year.  Signature events include the Greater Vineland Chamber of Commerce Dandelion Dinner Beer/Wine Tasting in April, Founders Day Weekend and the Greek Festival in May, the Cruise Down Memory Lane Car Show in June, the Puerto Rican Festival in July, the Food Truck Festival in August, A Taste of Vineland in October, and the Holiday Parade in November.

Shopping and Dining

A trip through Vineland offers an assortment of shopping and dining opportunities.  Discover downtown Vineland along Landis Avenue, a broad, tree-lined “main street” with a wonderful mix of culture, history, and shopping fun. Recently branded “The Ave,” Landis Avenue is well known for its 100 foot wide by 1 mile long stretch of tree-lined specialty retail stores, offices, and service based facilities.  People from all walks of life come here for entertainment, shopping, dining, or a leisurely stroll.

Vineland’s rich farming history is on full display at our many farmers markets or roadside stands, featuring a selection of delicious fruits and vegetables with a quality and freshness that can’t be beat.

The Cumberland Mall features your favorite department stores, big box outlets, and over 80 specialty stores.  As you travel along the Delsea Drive corridor, you will find a selection of auto dealerships, health care providers, and unique family owned businesses.  And there are a variety of strip malls, shops, and professional services located throughout the city.

When you are ready to eat, you can enjoy a wide selection of restaurants and eateries to choose from.  Whether it’s a special occasion, a night out with the family, or just a quick meal, the diversity of menus and settings ensures that everyone will find something to please their individual tastes.  In fact, finding a wonderful new restaurant to share with friends or family can be an adventure of its own!
