Vineland voters can expect two regularly-scheduled elections annually. The Primary Election is conducted on the first Tuesday, after the first Monday, in June. The primary election is how New Jersey’s two recognized political parties (Republican and Democratic) select their candidates for the general election. So, in order to vote in the primary election each voter must declare their political affiliation. Undeclared voters who vote in their first primary election must select one of those two parties in order to vote. Voters may change their party affiliation, as long as they file the appropriate form at least 55 days before the primary election.
The General Election is conducted on the first Tuesday, after the first Monday, in November. All registered voters may vote in this election, without having to declare political party affiliation. Voters may vote for any candidates on the ballot, and may even mix their selections among the political party candidates and/or the independent candidates.
There are six wards and 38 districts in the City of Vineland. A voter’s residence address determines the polling location assigned. Click here to view the election ward and district map.
Vineland polling locations are open each election day at 6:00 A.M. and close at 8:00 P.M. Click here for a list of all Vineland polling locations
