The Vineland Code Enforcement Division is responsible for administering the city’s property maintenance codes which have been enacted to ensure all structures, premises, and vacant lands are maintained in a clean, safe, secure, and sanitary manner. By doing so, blight conditions are avoided and property values are enhanced, which helps make Vineland a desirable place to live or maintain a business.
Property maintenance violations may include, but are not limited to, such things as litter, tall grass or weeds, overgrown vegetation, unregistered or junk vehicles, and unsafe structures or abandoned properties.
In addition to ensuring compliance with property maintenance codes throughout city, the Division also handles the registration of rental units, home sales, vacant or abandoned properties, and follow-up on other types of residential property complaints such as sheds, pools, and commercial vehicles. The Division also handles the enforcement of municipal ordinances regarding the placement and size of signage and banners within the City of Vineland.
