South Jersey Volunteers For Vets Boot Memorial

Opening Ceremony – 6:00 pm Vineland High School 2880 E. Chestnut Avenue Vineland, NJ 08361 The program will include a welcome by Vineland Mayor Anthony Fanucci, and remarks from NJ 1st District State Senator Michael Testa, Maj. Gen. Edward (Ed) J. Chrystal, Jr., U.S. Army, Commander, Task Force 23 The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, along with other guest speakers. In addition, there will be a funeral honor guard Last Salute ceremony including a rifle team and cannon salute, and Gold Star Families and Vietnam Veterans will receive lapel pins and proclamations recognizing their service and sacrifice. The Boot Memorial will be open to visitors 24 hours per day from the Opening Ceremony until the Closing Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. There will also be a variety of support organizations available daily, as well as counselors on location to help those in need.
