VINELAND’S FORM OF GOVERNMENT

      The City of Vineland operates under the Mayor-Council Plan of New Jersey’s Optional Municipal Charter Law, commonly called the Faulkner Act.  There are two separate and co-equal power centers, each directly elected by the people; the mayor as chief executive, and the Council as the municipal legislature. Municipal elections are non-partisan. The next municipal election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 31, 2008.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• City Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, first floor of City Hall, 640 E. Wood Street, Vineland, NJ 08360.
