STREET CRIMES UNIT

The Street Crime Unit is currently made up of seven plainclothes officers and three Sergeants. Their primary purpose is to enhance the effectiveness of the Patrol Division by increasing the police presence in the areas of the City where more traditional methods of law enforcement are not effective. They strive to remain highly visible In areas of the City where increased police presence will be a deterrent to street level criminal activity.
