911 COMMUNICATIONS CENTER

The Vineland Police Department serves as its own Public Safety Answering Point for the residents of Vineland. All 9-1-1 calls for service originating from within the jurisdiction will be answered by the Police Department 9-1-1 Center. The center is staffed with eighteen full-time dispatchers, with 3-4 usually working per shift.

Emergency calls for service are answered 24/7 with the appropriate agencies then being dispatched. All Police Department dispatchers are certified by the State of NJ as basic 9-1-1 Telecommunications and Emergency Medical Dispatchers. These dedicated professionals handle and average of over 400,000 phone-calls per year.
