Mayor Ruben Bermudez:

Mayor Ruben Bermudez has been a successful Vineland businessman for 32 years as owner of Juvante Formal Wear on Landis Avenue in Vineland.

His public service includes two terms on the Vineland City Council, serving as President from 2000-2004.  In addition, he previously served as President of the Downtown Merchants Association, and as a member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Vineland Planning Board, the Downtown Improvement District, and the Boy Scouts of America Executive Board.  

Currently, Mayor Bermudez serves as President of the Latin American Business Alliance of NJ and the Hand Foundation, which provides non-profit organizations with financial assistance.  He is also a member of the Salvation Army Board.

Mayor Bermudez always finds time in his busy work schedule to share with the community and to help others.  Mayor Bermudez volunteers his time to many organizations and worthy causes.  He enjoys visiting senior programs and enjoys playing the guitar and singing songs with the elderly.  He’s been involved in missions and humanitarian trips that have taken him to countries in Central and South America.  There, he has made a positive impact on city officials, citizens, and the less fortunate with encouraging words and acts of charity.

• Proclamations and Awards:
  Anyone interested in having the Mayor present a proclamation or award should contact his office at least two weeks in advance and complete a Proclamation Request Form.
