Mayor's Youth Council
Mission
The
mission of the Vineland Mayor's Youth Council is to communicate
the needs, problems, and issues affecting our youth regardless
of race, gender, or socioeconomic level.
Purpose:
The
VMYC shall serve as a liaison between the City of Vineland
and our youth. They will encourage the positive growth and
development of our youth by involving them in social, cultural,
recreational and other drug and alcohol free activities. They
will encourage the positive growth and development of our

and other drug and alcohol free activities. Members will be
asked to help make decisions affecting Vineland's youth, as
well as, participate in numerous activities throughout the
year. The VMYC will meet with Mayor Romano and City Officials
on a regular basis to discuss youth concerns and positive
solutions. By involving our youth in city government, Mayor
Romano hopes to develop better communications and listen to
suggestions on what the city can do to improve its youth oriented
efforts. VMYC wants to provide high school students the opportunity
to develop leadership and citizenship skills while learning
about their city government.

Members
of the youth council must be high school students and reside
in the City of Vineland
