The
mission of the Department of Finance is to assist the Governing
Body,
Business Administrator and all city
departments with an efficient and accurate accounting
of all financial activity through a centralized finance
department. The Finance Department is responsible for all
financial activity including, but not limited to budgeting,
tax assessing, tax and revenue collecting, accounts payable,
payroll, cash receipts, general accounting, fixed assets,
grants and cash management.
The
Department of Finance includes the offices of the Comptrollers,
Tax Assessor and Tax
Collector.
The
Comptroller's office is responsible for the following duties:
