Public invited to meet utilities officials at V'land forum

VINELAND -- Officials from the city's Department of Municipal Utilities will host a public forum on Aug. 27.

The meeting will cover progress at the city's water and electric utilities, future strategies and customer service improvements, Vineland Municipal Electric Utility spokeswoman Lisa Lucena said.

Speakers scheduled at the event are:

·  Joseph Isabella, the department's director

·  John Snidenbach, superintendent of the water-sewer utility

·  Harry Maloney, VMEU assistant general manager

·  Tom VanNoord, supervisor of accounts for customer service for the utilities.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers, which is on the second floor of City Hall, 640 E. Wood St.

The meeting also will be televised live on cable Channel 9.
