VINELAND - Electric companies worked Wednesday to repair the last power outages remaining from Tuesday's storms.
Vineland had 12 customers without power as of Wednesday afternoon, with plans for repairs by nightfall, Vineland Municipal Electric Utility Executive Director Joe Isabella said.
Fewer than 23 customers were still without power Wednesday night in a broad swath from Franklin Township, Gloucester County, and Hammonton to Somers Point and Millville, while fewer than five still lacked electricity in southernmost Cape May County, according to Atlantic City Electric.
More seriously hit was an area of western Cumberland and Salem counties stretching from Pennsville to Bridgeton, where 362 customers were without power, according to Atlantic City Electric.
Damage reports were still trickling in Wednesday, with some of the worst appearing to be a Vineland home that was hit by a falling tree.
